Jaaved Jaaferi has played roles that have become iconic and his dialogues make it more memorable.

His role in the movie ‘Salaam Namaste’ as ‘Jaggu’ became a craze with this one word “Eggjactly” which ealier was just ‘Sorry Exactly’ before Jaaved improvised the pronunciation, his serious role of army lawyer ‘Major Akash Kapoor’ in the movie ‘Shaurya’ with his intense dialogue delivery was revelation of his acting skills, his hilarious role of ‘Manav Shrivastava’ in ‘Dhamaal’ and ‘Total Dhamaal’ were admirable and not to forget his most memorable role of ‘Sunil’ in the movie ‘100 Days’ which is also remembered for its famous song ‘Gabbar Singh ye keh kar gaya, jo dar gaya, wo mar gaya’ featuring Madhuri Dixit and Jaaved Jaaferi.

The character ‘ Manav Shrivastava’ of ‘Dhamaal’ was a complete improvisation by Jaaved. It was not the same as we saw in movie. Jaaved improvised the character with a unique talking style, dressing sense and overall demeanour & convinced Director Indra Kumar to present it the way it as shown in the movie. It was the most loved character of the movie.

According to Jaaved Jaaferi, the role ‘Boom Shankar’ played in the 2003 movie ‘Boom’ is perhaps the maddest character he has ever played on screen. Starting from the way he walked, talked to the overall look in which worked out to add extra muscles for the special look. There is sequence in the movie in which Madhu Sapre could not stop laughing at Jaaved’s acting and that laugh was not a part of the screenplay yet it was kept in the movie by the director.

Boom is the only movie that Jaaved Jaaferi has done with Amitabh Bachchan. In the movie he shares the frame in which Amitabh’s character ‘Bade Mia’ dies.
